I'm sure you've seen that movie before: the meeting starts and everyone's there — including your guy. but his camera is off. and he's dead silent. by the time his turn is up, he's unable to explain what he did yesterday, what's he doing today, and what's blocking him. 

because, you know, it's unethical to share trade secrets... from his other client. 

real-world projects cannot suffer that kind of split attention. 

the Boehm cost-of-change curve may be outdated, but that doesn't mean fixes are free. and when you invest in a professional, he's expected to be working for you, not the competition. 

that's why I'll be invested in your project and, in my spare time, I'll be having a regular life. because after exercise, leisure, and rest, it's a new day with your company, and nothing else. that kind of commitment is rooted in my work ethic. 

and it pays off: a relaxed mind alowed me to see an issue with the shopping cart at the Casa do Construtor storefront. there was a pesky issue in the way shopping cart data was being displayed due to how back-end and front-end were communicating. and because I wasn't thinking of another problem at the time, I was able to properly investigate and debug it. 

I only have 8 hours of my day to work. book this time before it's gone.
